"If you need a bright light you do not buy LED fixtures. If something on the order of a bright flashlight is all you need, this light works fine. Light is bluish like most LEDs fixtures. Has worked great in the two weeks I've had it. I like the fact that it uses a standard battery that you can buy from a variety of sources for $12-$15. For those users who say it's stopped working, did you replace the battery--sometimes batteries are faulty and have short life spans. "

This is an attractive lantern that provides ample lighting as well as security. I really like that it can be set as a dusk to dawn light or motion detection. It is great for approaching the front steps and the light illuminates the area. I used to leave a porch light on all night long (early evening until I leave for work in the mornings), so this offers a more cost efficient lighting option.

Update three months later: Working flawlessly. As I approach the porch, the light comes on, and provides safe illumination and allows me to easily find the lock for the house key. It is stylish and attractive. "

"We had purchased Cooper/Regent outdoor lights from Lowe's . When we needed to replace one of the lights-we could not fine Cooper so we purchased another light.You're not gonna believe this but each time the new light was tripped the blower to the heater came on, no heat just air. We called the HVAC man and they could not find out what was wrong and they wanted to instal a new board(this spells money).

So I noticed the light was onthw next time the light was tripped. We canced the "board" and looked for Cooper lights no the net found them at Amazon and have had no problems since. We have used Cooper outdoor lights since 1999 and have been so pleased with this product you see how much we went through to find Coper lights again."

"I was tired of constantly forgetting to turn on our driveway post light. This is great! I just flip on the switch (and actually got a switch attachment to keep mt from turning it off), and the light turns on at dusk and off at dawn. In between, it dims the bulb after 5 minutes (there are other setting, I just chose 5 min.) until something else activates it."

"Bought it from a local store in last week. I am amazed so far. Light is bright. Also, the 2 power consumption setting makes it even better. Usually I put it on half power (5 LED). It says in 5 LED mode, it will run for 4 hour. But I found the LEDs are still producing enough light even after 6 hours! I reckon it's because of summer, when you have enough day light to charge.

Another good thing is the charge indicator shows active even it is a dark cloudy day! I believe it means it is charging in any day light condition. Cool! Before to buy this light, I have emailed the manufacturer asking whether this light will charge in any day light condition, but they haven't got back to me. I assume they might not know the answer! May be they are not the manufacturer of the solar panel. Well, that's not the main issue here. I am satisfied up to now. But, it will be interesting to see how well it performs during winter season."

"The timer is of better design than the one it replaced, which was also a Malibu product. The one thing that changed, and I don't understand why, is the location of the mounting screw/holes. Malibu decided to change the hole location, so when I went to replace the old one with the new one, I had to relocate one of the mounting screws. Not a big deal, but Malibu should know better. "
